............. V Strom hand guards.

they look much better than i expected, but they were fitted for the purpose of stopping my fingers dropping off ( i know before you tell me - i am a girl)

they work well except my finger tips still get cold. they protrude out from the bottom of the guards.

no problems (much) with fitting, went on quite well - except when i took the right hand bar end off, the nut on the inside of the bar end fell off into the handle bar - still there. a mate came over & we leaned the bike over until the crash protector was about 1" off the ground but it was not for coming out, so we did what we should have done in the 1st place - we used another one.
but besides that it all went preety smoothly

You can unscrew the handlebar risers and just up end the handlebar whilst still attached to all the cables etc can't you? Anyway, got any pictures of this, my hands are cold too :-P

I fitted mine a couple of weeks ago and find them pretty good.Hands don`t get as cold now. I wonder why your fingers protrude at the bottom; are yours extra long Maultin?

Cheers.

Could you rotate them round/down a bit?

we thought of taking off the handlebars, but replacing the little nut was much easier.

fingers not extra long - i have the hands of a child (no jeremy beadle jokes required)
i have gloves with vented fingers, so when wrapped around the grips, the fingers open up in a sort of wind inviting stylee - 80 quid for gloves & fingers get cold. i could do without that quite frankly.

i suppose there is the option of rotating down but i think that would move levers etc, so hand position would move to accomodate & same problem applies. i will give it a go though, thanks

I am going to be really annoying and ask if you can take a photo from further away in the light, it's kind of hard to gauge how they make the bike look :-P
