After replacing my rear tyre due to deep cut caused by glass , noticed there is a screw in the rear tyre ( tyre 500 miles old ) argggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The screw head is not pushed all the way into the tyre , ie not flush with the tyre , there is about 25 mm sticking out

I might be being daft , however does this mean that screw has not gone all the way through tyre yet and if it had the screw head would be right down flush with the tyre ??

What do u recon ???

really tempted to remove screw , however if it has gone through I will be knackered as don't have any other form of transport ...

here's hoping its a small screw

Depends on the length of the screw!

Make sure you've got a puncture repair kit to hand. It's not very technical but spit on it and give it a wiggle, if it's leaking air it'll show up meaning it's gone through the carcas. If not it may be worth gently easing it out to see if you get lucky :)

Avon do a guarentee for lucky types like you, tyre gets a puncture in 3 months or 1000 miles (whichever comes first) you get a new one I think ;)

put a picture up if you want a better call on whether it's fixable.

Tyre is def punctured , down to 20 psi in rear , hopefully will be fixable with a plug

Had a bad run of punctures about 10 years ago when had punctures in about 4 tyres in a row , had a rear puncture last time I was going of Welsh w/end from here

My commute down A38 means I have to do a lot of filtering , guess I am picking up nailes in the chevroned / dirty center of road etc ?

Hope my luck changes soon

Got it plugged , normal place normally charges 15 quid however is 30 miles away therfore had to use a local place ( tyre was going down fast ) & they charged 30 !

Fingers crossed the magnetic tyres will not strike again
