Not been riding too long, but riding lately and i have noticed some noise coming from down the forks, that area of the bike anyway, something i had not noticed before. When i got home yesterday after a ride, the fan came on almost instantly when i stopped which made me think the noise i can hear is the fan going all the time, which is bad i know.
So i got the Haynes out to check it, but on my 01 SV650S i can't find the bottle with min/max on it? Is it not there on all models or am i blind? And if it's not there how do i check the level?
Thanks folks.
The bottle is on the right of the bike, behind the fairing above the chassis plate.
You'll probably need a torch to see clearly. In the pic you can see the upper and lower level marks I think. To top up you need to lift the tank IIRC.

No way! I've always taken my fairing off to check my coolant level, as that gives access to the filler cap. Never knew I could check without fairing removal

We all learn at some point Matt so don't worry about it!
The student, as in Lissa's pic its in the same place on all curvys. If you to top it up you will need to undo the two bolts at the front of the tank (behind the top yoke) and lift the tank up (its hinged at the rear).
