Funnily enough I've read something on't web about them causing involuntary eye movement!

I've currently got a big fat 0 on my face or in my ears. Used to have an ear pierced twice but they came out and never went back in.

I've seen a few people with these and they seem to get kinda cross eyed after a while...
Or it could just appear that way?

I don't like facial piercings. Got nothing against piercings in general - I have my left nipple done and want an ampallang one day - but facial piercings really don't do it for me.

I've got my nipplet done too but no others. Why do you want a little orange person? Just looked it up. Why on EARTH would you want that done?! Ouch.

It's not for my pleasure, I'm a caring sharing person. Anyway, I'm currently single since my burd buggered off to take up a good job in Oz, so I ain't getting any now or in the near future, 6 months will fly by.

The only down below thing I think I'd have done is having the little balls inserted in the pubis for the ladies pleasure but not sure how safe that is. Anything goind anywhere near nerves, blood vessels or tubes you can forget.

Interestingly enough two thrids of the yes votes have been from the Soho crowd who I've met and not one person I've met has said no. Maybe they're shy to say no but I hope not.

:D

I have had twelve piercings in my head/face and unfortunately my last one just did not take and it had to be removed.

If you have it done, keep it clean and do expect a little soreness for a few days. My last one was in the base of my neck and it made wearing my helmet a painful experience for a while, as did my eye brow stud.

The biggest bug bear is infections, my eyebrow blew up into a huge bag of pus on the ferry to Jersey and leaked down my face. That was so attractive and my neck bar started making custard all by itself. This was despite my almost constant need for antibiotics due to major illness. Top tip, make sure that you are in good health and don't have any dodgy teeth that can let infection in before you get a piercing.

Nose bars can be nice, just don't end up looking like Rob Flynn from Machine Head or the scary bloke from Twisted Sister!

I would have to disagree with you there, removing a little chin stud is fine and not noticable but a bridge piercing leaves a fairly massive scar. Both my ex and one of my very good friends had them done and have taken them out leaving very noticable scars. I personally quite like piercings but this is one of those ones that need contemplation. Its like surface piecings like across the back of the neck they leave scars.

Dont let it diswade you from getting it done but please take it into consideration.

Don't suppose you have any pictures of those two noses?

I certainly will consider it. Put it this way, if I get it done and I like it/it looks ok on me I'll leave it but if I don't like it I'll be able to decide quickly so it'll come out quickly and hopefully minimise the scarring. WOuld you recommend a PTFE flexi bar to start with to prevent any tearing and hopefully stop migration?

Go the whole hog and have bolts out of the side of your neck

Please explain to me the benefit of having a piercing

SORRY but I vote no

monkey
12-02-08, 01:30 PM
According to the poll Dicky you vote yes!

Benefits of that sort of piercing are cosmetic, purely the same way someone might wear make up or get their hair cut in a particular style or wear particular clothes. I think it also shows people you're an individual who doesn't have too much thought on what people think about you and maybe even re-inforces that in your mind.

In my opinion it's one of the more tasteful piercings you can have on your face.

Rob Flynn's got his septum pierced. I'm talking about an Earl.

I will keep that in mind about infection but fortunately I'm not very infectious. He he. I will make sure I'm in good health before getting it done too. Explain the tooth thing please?

hmmm, personally i prefer side of nose/lip/chin/eyebrow piercings - but then you're not doing it for my/our benefit are you?! so why not just do what you want? :D

get 2 x 3mm ball bearings, superglue them where the piercing would go (or get Spiritgum from a Fancy Dress/Theatrical Makeup shop) and fake it.

See how YOU like it bearing in mind it will only be about 90% accurate (wont have the bar between bone and skin, but will let YOU know

You could even use some of those little silver cacke decorating sugar balls

Main thing is (like may tats) go for it if its what you want to do and you can live with the consequences (ie if you may lose a job because of it then think twice before doing)

Otherwise - hell YEAH

I haven't had my face monkey even mentioned by my bosses although I never see them apart from the Christmas do. I've held my barbell from my nipple up there and I think it looks good. Missus does too. I wouldn't be going for massive balls (oo er) but little ones or small pyramid thingys. The only thing is I may have a lack of flesh so will have to visit the piercers beforehand.

Holes in teeth are a good way for bacteria to enter the blood stream, there are a great deal of bacteria in your mouth, most of which are killed by the body's natural defences, but some can get through.

I do like the look of the piercing you want, I saw a teen girl with one today and the first thing to cross my mind was "Look at that thin b*tch! God I hate her, mind you I was like that at her age!" Once the usual jealousy had passed, I thought she looked quite cool. Good luck! =D>

No, I think you should have it done from right to left. Much better that way around.:p
