Saw this photo in the obituaries in the paper the other day (it was the photographer who had just died, not Nixon). I thought it really summed up what a lot of people feel about politicians, esp. Nixon.

It would be interesting to see what would have happened if he'd not got caught - would he did with easing relations between the US and China have still happened, or was that done to try and make amends? I understand he was involved in the prosecution counsel in the McCarthy hearings, so it's probably safe to say he wasn't an angel who had an off day.
Having said that, I did rather surprise my wife the other day by saying I'd like to be a politician.
