People of Scotland!

As I live in North Yorkshire I thought I would offer some of you the chance to break up your journey to AR08 over 2 days.

There is room in our garden for about 3 tents and there is a double sofa bed in the sitting room (if you can convince SWMBO that you're not a forum lurking axe murderer) but of course as it is going to be a bootiful weekend weather wise you'll all want to be sleeping under the stars.

Haven't worked out my route yet but it will be mainly motorway and should take about 3 hours (give or take) from here.

Planning on leaving mid to late morning Friday to arrive about teatime in Somerset.

Bacon butties will be laid on Friday am as will endless tea and coffee, and there's a bottle of 10 year old Isle of Struay that I got for christmas that needs a reason to be opened.:smt045

Your bikes will be safe as its a nice neighbourhood too.

So, if you are interested it will be on a first come first serve basis, so no pm's. Just reply in thread.

Hope it will be of some use to some of you, just a pity I don't have enough room to accommodate you all!

Thanks

Gordon

Thanx for the offer Jamaxx!

No going though, mainly 'cos of the distance means I'd have to use up holidays from work and my employers a tight barsteward so I need to save all I can get so my wife and I can have the same holidays.

Bah! Beat me to it!

although if folks want there is space at mine as well, in N. Wales (near the border). I have room for 5 or 6 in the house (more if you good friends) plus room loads more in the field (tents) or even the loft in the garage (extreme I know). I plan a scenic ride down to the AR through Wales and expect it to take 4 hours or more. not sure if the rest of the Border Patrollers will join me, as we have not discussed that yet....

Ride back will be direct A-roads.

Anyone that wants to break the journey home, the offer to stay here is open as well.

Ooh, nice one. I'm considering doing it in one go, but that might be ridiculous now I think about it
