As the title says. Put one on the other day and I'm not getting on with it. Want it off, off, OFF.

Treacle. Have I ever told you you're my hero and an inspiration?

No?

Thought not.

Sorry mate, what can I say, I'm a child at the best of time's.

Like Lee has said, Submurge it into very hot water and leave it for a min or two. It should losen up enough so that you can peel it off.

Get it off. I've never been able to keep the sodding things on. They are fine, then I wash the visor in warm water and fairy liquid and they leak and have to be pulled off. I had 2 that went like this, and I know the second one was fitted properly

Maybe a hairdryer would do the trick.....seems to have shifted most of your hair so you never know...it might shift the fog city too ;)

Scoobs, sorry mate but your not supposed to take them out.

As Soulkiss has said, pinlocks. I know this is no help at all so I shall now go (I still have the residue of a fog city insert on my old Arai but as Fizz says, new visor would sort it!) :D

Sadly warm soapy water may not be enough (been there and tried that), carefully peel off the insert, glue will be left behind, acetone/spirit type stuff and a lot of cotton wool (so as not to scratch the visor) to remove the glue

.... Or stop being a pikey cheapskate and buy another visor :D
To be honest its what I ended up doing but then I did the insert correctly the 2nd time, new visor and FC :) Learnt a lesson about not being a cheapskate in the first place cause I'd attached the first FC to an older visor

A'ha! You bunch of nay sayers. I've done it.

Stuck it in a sink of hot soapy water. 10 minutes later I released the corner with a blade a peeled the sucker off.

Jobs a goodun.

Ya boo sucks to you.

I got a foggy mask instead. No ghosting now. Much better

Thor, does the foggy mask work well? I've been through 3 fog city inserts and the longest they've lasted is 3 weeks! They seem to lose their ability to stop fogging as soon as you clean them (i used a soft cloth and water)

Mine does depending on how long my facial hair is, lol. Seriously...it does make a difference as does the shape of your face and how big/wide your nose is.

i know that may sound odd but the idea is to have a good seal at the top, over your nose and onto your cheeks so all the breathing you do goes in and out from the bottom of the lid. No warm moist breath=no misty visor.

And its a good thing its washable as they can get a bit minging in my experience...but its a good product and i'm not knocking it at all, just be aware of the above facts.

Oh and Scoobs.... the only reason you did it so easily is cos you're the man!!!
Us mere mortals and superwierdos just dont have your skills.

can you do mine for me when i want it taking out please

I've got a foggy mask, it really helps with fogging. But if you combine it with a fog city then yep that'l definately cure it.

But as said above. Pinlock is much better as you can take it off really easily clean it and refit it again.

I'd never go back to a fog city again after using a pinlock.

I'll give a thumbs up for the foggy mask as well. Used one in my other helmet.

I tried a Fog City insert and I thought it was terrible! It didn't fog up, but at night I couldn't see anything, all the lights turned into crazy lines everywhere, the refraction was a lot worse. I removed it using a hair dryer, although it seemed to peel off relatively easy on it's own.
