I must say its very interesting, almost like going back to steam engines. Would like to know how much of a range it has for the tank size of air that it stores. The story states 120 mpg but not much more...
i was expecting a link to a flying car.
I'm a bit disappointed!

It's fundamentally flawed, although it produces no emmisions, and doesn't contain harmful chemicals, it is less efficient to compress air then release that pressure than it is to charge a battery, and the energy from both still comes mainly from coal fired power stations
the solution isn't to develop less environmentally damaging cars, it's to develop better ways of producing electricity, then powering society on that electricity. but i'm sure if i mention nuclear power it'll end up as an argument again
Well if we keep complaining about all the wind farms (even though its bloody windy everywhere) going up then I think this country is pretty much stuck with nuclear.

if you actually sit down and think about how much you'd need to invest in solar / wind / wave / tidal in order to contribute a real percentage to the nations power requirements it becomes fairly obvious that you simply can't do it, you can't produce energy on the required scale using renewable sources. nuclear energy is nothing like greenpeace et al try to get you to believe, and it's a shame that their dogmatic belief in "nuclear = bad" is only hindering the progression of the UK away from oil/coal dependence
