Me!
And my new bike.

I'll be the first to tell you that a 600 would do what I wanted from a bike as well as this one would. However...I've had a 600 before...and a 750...and it only seemed like natural progression. I was just getting into biking in 2001 when this bike was first made and I remember it stealing the thunder from all the competition. (R1, ZX-9R, Fireblade) I can't reach the limits of 600. I was nearly reaching the limits of my 500 a few years ago but not quite. I'm really quite a sedate rider but I wanted effortless acceleration in a sexy package.
Only a smidgen over 8k miles 2002 bordering on 2003 model, absolutely mint condition and a steal at £2750. Having moved to London it's a summer use only toy - I love close to a tube station to take me to work, so why bother? I've done enough riding in the wet to last me a lifetime. ;)
Power is just ace. I wanted a bike that I really had to respect the throttle on. And I found it. I was originally after an SP1 but there aren't many cheap ones on the market at the moment so the next best thing was the gsxr.
