I used to have silly putty when I was a kid. Used to be able to bounce it like rubber ball, mould it.. squish it and it even glowed in the dark!

Is space putty anything like it? :)

Sounds like the same stuff re-badged for this century to me!!! :D (I never had silly putty when I was a kid :cry:)

you used to be able to lift pictures off a newspaper with silly putty. Really cool until you figured out it sent it all black !!

You could pull it into all sorts of shapes but it would snap if you yanked it hard

Playing with mine as I type. I keep a plastic egg full of it in my desk drawer to relieve stress and help my mind wander whilst listening to the self-inflicted problems of people too stupid to operate a PC, much less manage a large site's IT Infrastructure. :D

That reminds me of those weird alien egg things, if you put two together another would grow or something similar... can you still get those?

I love lave lamps too ... so hypnotic ... but to answer your question ... YES :( (sadly)

If you're that bored, you can make your own lava lamp with a bag of raisins and some lemonade ;-)

ahh thats what i was trying to remember about when i read blues post, if you throw the aliens at those Styrofoam ceiling pattresses you get in offices they would stick :cool:

Silly putty? I remember it being 'potty putty' - same stuff I think. Didn't it bounce too, if you threw it hard at something?
