New topic to keep Dan happy.

As you know you have limited space under the seat on most bikes to keep useful stuff. So what do you chose to keep in there.

For me:-

Under the pillion seat/cowl

Pair of waterproof trousers stored in a waterproof bag so if I get caught in the rain I put trousers on and put other non-water proof things in the bag the trousers were in.
First aid kit
Side-stand puck
Tyre pressure gague
12v cigarette lighter socket that plugs into Opti-mate lead
Cargo net
Twix (recently eaten by mice somehow*)
RAC recovery card
Spare fiver/tenner dependin on what I have available on the day
Old battered map of Southern counties (slightly mouse chewed*)*Need to find somewhere to fit a mousetrap or very small cat.

Used to be able to fit few more things into the curvy than you can on the pointy but guess that's one of the many downsides of going pointy :(

All that under the seat

On the pointy you have to start unscrewing 4 things to get under the seat in the first place.

Under the rear seat cowl I have my optimate lead, there isnt any room for anything else, not even a small camera :(

Yeah, under the seat cowl on the pointy is just about enough room for half a ham sandwich. Even then it's not even fully protected from the elements 'cos the bottom of the 'space' is open to where the battery is housed..

Awww thanks Mark.

In my storage space I have:
Visor Cleaner
Rag
WD40 (for bits that don't move and should)
Superglue (for bits that do move and shouldn't)
Toolkit
Spare clutch and brake levers
Spare pegs
Mud buddy

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.....Spare kneesliders.

I also think Law has been living under my seat, I keep finding tiny little footprints. :D

Maybe he lives under mine from time to time and enjoys a bit of twix. I may have been misguided in my mouse based assumptions. And perhaps he's already eaten the bit of the map covering the meeting and ride-out locations which would explain a lot. However the storage space is far too dirty for Law to have been anywhere near it.

I have a power commander, some general tools and occasionally a disc lock.

I should probably carry some spare levers/my 'get-me-home toe peg'.

I find it quite ironic that my entire underseat storage is completely taken up by my cargo net & protective mat so that I can carry more stuff :???:

The cbr storage is pants .... I can only just fit my lipgloss, eyeliner, eyelasher curler, tampax, spare pair of knickers, and pair of tweezers under the seat

Ahh, the joys of an older model 'Blade see - I could fit a brick under the pillion seat cowl thing.

That said there's generally only visor cleaning stuff, bungee-net, padlock'n'chain, toolkit (standard) and a packet of tictacs...

... that after a winter's worth of storage are probably fused into a solid minty lump - giving any mice in my garage lovely fresh breath and chronic tooth-decay. roll:

Under my pillion seat cowl I have my allen keys for my seat and a comb :) gotta get the important things in the tiny tiny space, being a girlie an all !

Ohhh I found my toolkit yesterday, after a year of having the bike, so I can give my allen keys a new home, maybe I can get a brush in there now LOL

It has to be a record. That this topic has gone at least a few months before being regurgitated.

Cable ties
Spare levers
Puncture repair kit.
Spare bulbs
Spare fuses
Spanners
Sockets
Screwdrivers
Multitool
Gaffa tape
wire
Torch
Batteries for the torch
Tablets for migraines.

There's probably more but I can't remember.

In the Honda I also have
spare vehicle battery
A set of jump leads
Two sets of waterproofs
Spare visor
Dark visor
Waterproof over boots.
Jumper

If all else fails I covered for breakdowns by my insurance.

I was always led to believe that if you keep spare bulbs under your seat they would eventually break?

All of which are useless in the event of a minor spill.

Cable ties
Velcro
Puncture repair kit
Spare bulbs
Spare fuses
multitool thingy

Gaffa tape
sidestand puck
First aid kit...how useful is this really though in all honesty?
