The tone is better than stock but not a great deal louder since I still can't get the baffle out. I like the looks because it doesn't spoil the profile of the bike like most do on a k6/7. Went out for a test today and managed to give it a tiny bit too much throttle on a and lefthander coming off a roundabout and almost had a pretty violent highside, probably due to cold tyres :o
Yesterday when fitting I left the back door open for five mins and my english bull terrier escaped and decided to help himself to some fairing:

It's the inner bit between the gsxr logo and the forks, the eyes are completely chewed off so no way to re-attach it. I managed to find a spare part at some breakers for ?15 so while I'm replacing stuff so may as well do the belly pan fairing which I scratched a while ago (marks around the Z on the silver suzuki emblem). I did that while mucking around on some small roundabout getting some knee on tarmac action when I hit a bump and then automatically rolled off the throttle. The thing was I had all my weight off the side of the bike and for some reason couln't get back on the bike quick enough so my line tightend up and ended up scraping against the kerbing on the roundabout. Lucky I didn't drop the bike or mount the kerb in retrospect, I'm much more sensible and in control nowadays ;). Just thought I'd confess before I get it replaced since no one has noticed the great big gauges in my fairings.
