i'd keep away from hedge end and fairoak, imagine the film "the hills have eyes" and you got it, and they don't wash! :D
west end is the place to be

Deliverence was filmed in West End.
If you do move anywhere in Southampton in the end, avoid Bassett and Shirley at all costs (SO16 area mainly)! I'm moving in July as I pretty much fear for my life here.

I've heard they sleep with their sisters.............lol:smt005

Shirley is fast turning into little Poland, i couldn't believe it when i went there the other day its like being in a different country.
i'd say keep away from millbrook, st. deny's, northam as well as basset like larry said, I'd say they are some of the worst areas of Southampton

Come to Hedge End, then you can poke fun at wideboy across the border in West End. :)
(hey Wideboy, put your pin back in the user map, I need to know which way to send the missiles)

I thought i lived in Millbrook(only moved in in October), and was thinking that the above doesn't sound a lot like where I live, but checking again, I live in Freemantle, I'm hoping thats a nicer area.

doesn't surprise me, i'd also add Maybush to the list of places not to live, did my bike test there and i had to lock my bike up whilst i was inside waiting to start, then whilst we where about to set off a VW polo went passed with 2 nippers in it, they looked about 5, the examiner said to wait in the car park for a few secs to make sure they've completely gone
Er herm. Pompey is a beautifull place. We are not far from the sea and i hate to say it guys, we are still in the premiership unlike our local rivals A!!!!! hows it looking in the coca coca league these days?
hmmm it cant be any worse than up here surely. or can it.

You've not said why you need to be where you want to be.. If you need access to west London then Sothampton's got the M3 on its doorstep, and its a pretty quick journey.
You want to move into the Thames Valley region you do.

nope maybush is as rough as the rest i was there when my clutch went and it was a choice of leave my bike there so i could go get my dads van (other side of Southampton) or limp it a few miles to the nearest bike garage, i made my choice but the garage was a bunch of cowboys kept me waiting and ripped me off, would have done it myself if i could of got it home, Romsey is nice place yada yada yah
