View Full Version : Best Looking SV...
I've been approached via pm by Ed and Lylej to put together some sort of best looking SV thread.
since I can only put up a poll of 10 for one thread that is the limit for the month.
A maximum of 10 entry's per month and it must be your Current bike (cheers Mark)
PLEASE only ONE PHOTO....
with a bit of a wright up on what mods or orther stuff you've done to it.
so be quick, if not then wait till next month.
Winner might be the following months front cover of the site... ( Admin to confirm)
so which first 10 people are going to be in the running...
polling starts when we have 10 entry's. then poll will be open for 5 days.
Good Luck.
ps, The Best Looking SV is not the one stright from the showroom... BTW,
otherwise it would be show us your standard sv.

Think it might be an idea to make it current SV's, otherwise well see all the old used to have stuff again ? just a suggestion.
Cheers Mark.

This is my entry for best looking SV.
I brought my SV in August 2006 and it's been the best thing i've ever invested in. The only thing i was disapointed by is the dull image alot of people give the SV, but you sure get what you pay for when you get an SV. Yes the finish isn't great and the suspension is suspect to say the least but for an alround review of the bike it does it's job very well, almost what it says on the tin so to speak.
Right my mods so far have been :- OEM lowers,Seat cowl, Hugger,Baglux tank Cover,Clear Integrated Tail Lights,Clear indys, pyramid plastics undertray, fender extender,Chewys wheel stickers & rim tape, puig double bubble screen,Micron Delta + (baffleless), Metzeler Z6's,Custom rearsets,Custom lense covers!
I'm planning on changing the front end for GSXR1000 forks and i can't wait to feel the transformation, also i'll be changing the rear shock too, hopefully for an ohlins (saving the pennies)
Theres so much you can do to make the SV your own bike, unlike alot of bikes that already come with all the shiny bits. Thats why i'm enjoying the SV at the moment it's my bike and i'm adding bits as and when i can.
Long live the SV :thumleft:
From a wreck

Be nice to see more bikes along the lines of Bigapes who has actually altered his bike ( the pointy clocks on a curvey I always thought was a nice touch ) Be good to see something different rather than just belly pans and lowers and a seat cowl etc etc.

Are there even 10 SVs on this site? It should be a ducati/gsxr competition ;)

The title states best looking SV, not most modded. Go to SVRider theres plenty of that. Perhaps next months can be most modded SV to satisfy your needs.

oh excuse me for having an opinion....
For me the best looking SV should stand out from the other SV's, either by being modded or having little touches added to it, maybe a paint scheme or graphics or even standard bike thats been well kept.
Collecting a collection of OEM standard Suzuki add on parts and bolting them onto your SV doesnt make your SV look any different to anybody else's and that to me isnt what I thought this thread was about.
And yes the GSXR and Ducati world has the same problem before you ask :p:D

Sorry Fizz reflecting on what i said it sounded harsh, nothing meant by it, i'm just jealous that my inferior skills don't stretch to anything more than tarting up and bolting things on. :-#

S'OK neither do mine :D I want to take the hugger off my GSXR as I've seen so many other GSXR's with the same hugger its embaressing.

Only reason mine looks different is because of how it looked in the first two pics.

Yes i suppose you didn't have much choice :p. I know how about a thread like "Restored SV's" Before and after images. Theres plenty of crashed SV's on here :o.
Oi, ladies....

Well, I know I am slightly biased but, I think mine is the best looking SV.
I haven't made any drastic changes, just subtle ones.
The fact that it is red with a black frame gives it a distinct advantage.
The things I've added are:
Scorpion carbon can
Evotech tail tidy
Evotech can hanger
Hein Gericke mini indicators
Hein Gericke bar ends
Tinted screen (I now have a Fabbri double bubble)
Fender extender
R and G crash protectors
OEM seat cowl + pad from E Bay
OEM hugger
OEM lowers
SV stickers on wheel rims
SUZUKI sticker made by somebody at work
There's also a Scottoiler tucked away.
And here it is:

might help if you posted a photo of your bike and not a shadow..
Hmmm, think I'll go back and list all the modifications on mine.
But mine will always be better looking for a number of reasons
1) It's a pointy
2) It's an S model
3) It's got lowers
4) It's got virtually all new bodywork
5) The most important of all...it's black with added black bits
Bikes just don't get any sexier.
Toolbox removed from under battery

A and it must be your Current bike (cheers Mark)

Astatically speaking it’s between Si & Lou for me, the original shape is just so much more appealing to me.
Si's because it's a nice concept and complimentry design.
And Lou's because it's a nice example of the original design with some tastefully done mods.
Cheers Mark.

cheers mark, i must say that it was Dan that did all the stuff to it. I just keep it up. However its a good high standard to be looking at when suzy comes home.
