so what about the other classes?

Ok bearing in mind that this is about looks and not most modded.

SvRobbo: Pretty much standard and number plate hanger spoils it.
1RichSv: Pretty much standard
Big Ape: Totally unique paintjob but otherwise fairly standard.
Matt: Horrible lowers and fixing bolt.
Blueto. Pretty standard apart from rims and the polished swingarm.
Girth: Love the paint job but wouldn't want to own it. Plus downpipe is minging.
FGO: Pretty standard.Tasteful though, but I don't like red.
Dizzyblonde: Pretty much standard too.
Lozzo: Exhaust far too long. Finishes beyond the bike.
Jonnyboy: Bike, what bike?

So my vote goes to Girths as being the bike I would look at first if they were all together in a bike park.

Perhaps we could do a different class each week or something.:)

I know, it'll be sorted when it's back on the road. Don't blame me, blame the previous owners - that's how the bike was when I bought it.

I'm gonna vote for Girth's Sheen replica. Needs a wash mind.

A bit harsh.

Streetfighter headlights.
K3 Naked clocked morphed on to a Naked Curvy.
Gixxer rear shock.
Pyramid undertray
Hagon springs
High level renegade exhaust system
Renthal handlebars
Blue anodised levers
mini indicators
aftermarket lazercut heel plates
braided blue brake lines
aftermarket shiny radiator cover
clear rear light cover
LED rear lights

also now have gold painted rear calliper
black painted forks
black painted torque arm

There are plenty of other mods done also. A bit more than just a one off paint job. That I did myself by the way.

??? to be honest i dont really know whats happend,.. its not really the way i had planned it to go, there was supposed to be one competion with classes that try to include everyone as much as possible..
then every one votes for the bikes in each class they feel they should win then when the voting is over the winner gets a prize? im not really sure what is happening now.. i have upwards of twenty entries in my PM box all for different classes with no where to place them?

can we sort something out?

it says why at the top of the previous nomination thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=104806) and you know it.

I've no idea what critiria will be used next, but with limited places available, I'd rather see something I've perhaps not seen before and any new ideas, not the same old stuff that's aready been posted.

Cheers Mark.

i have upwards of twenty entries in my PM box all for different classes with no where to place them?

But we cant put 20 entries into one poll, as the forum software only allows 10 options per poll, so we'll end up with two polls and then it just gets confusing like the photo competition does.

I actually think this way is better as we'll have a different category or class each month and then possibly we could put each months winner into an end of year poll and have SV of the year ?

I also agree with Mark, I want to see something different or that I havent seen before rather than the same bikes posted over and over again.

18-02-08, 10:54 AM
... i see your point but none of this was explained to me? i had no PM stating what was happening, no consultation on the way it was going??? all of a sudden my idea to do something different is no longer my idea at all? but id still be buying prizes, can you see where im coming from.. i dont like moaning and i will be flexible with it, my idea is one thread per class.. and one poll at the end, however i can see if more than 10 people post then it could get difficult as per the photo comp. its just gone from one thing to something different in a second, which has left me slightly confused by it all... :(

I should have made it clear I'm not saying thats how it will work, it was just an idea I had. Personally I dont care.

I voted for Bigapes bike why ?

OK the paint job isnt standard and it isnt a race rep. So it stands out and that would catch my attention straight away, then you've got the pointy clock on a curvey again its different then theres all the little touches that on first look at you'd probably miss. Just looks a litle different it stands out without shouting about it.

John 675
18-02-08, 11:03 AM
dont get me wrong fizz, your idea is concrete enough and it would work, im just a little confused about what is happening at the mo.
jester... it was all done and closed so quick that only one of my pmd entries were posted... i dont know what is to happen

Yes with hindsight it is. Now you see why I let Lissa do most of the posting.

If there is a competion for bike most brought back from the dead then it's gotta be yours.

I know Girths is just a paint job,but my vote stands. Shallow me.:smt022

i vote BigApe cause I saw the before and after photos before they were deleted.. goooood rebuild!!! Oh and i only put mine in to even up the curvys a bit. Mind you it appears mine was rather blue underneath the fairings so i think its had rather a few bumps, theres a story to tell underneath all that polishing I'm sure there is.

I'm not really into modding bikes..I think curvys should be kept in a reversible modded state, because my view is in a few years time they will be like Elsies(which we have a few of).....more desirable, collected and worth more in an original type state( without rust)
So in my case its not about what I haven't done so to speak, its about keeping it like it is, very very clean.......after riding it, as yesterday it was blatthered in salt! I don't just polish my bike, I ride the bloody thing. Suzy will be kept like this also, as its a good standard to look to.

Cheers Mark.

I can't decide between 1RichSV650's and FGO's bikes... Erm.....

If it's the one I'd most like to own then it would have to be 1RichSV650.. by a whisker..

EDIT - Changed my mind, I prefer FGO's!

I do quite like the apes offering, but couldn't vote for him out of principle.

Right since this is going no where faster than a turbo'd busa, I've closed the thread,
and await Lylej to start his new threads the way he wanted them.
as soon as he does then I'll stickey them here.

This comp is now null and viod, and Big Ape won IMHO.
