Having used my binoculars and telescope to take pics handheld, I have finally splashed out £30 for a proper adapter for the 'scope. Very impressed with first efforts down the garden, it looks like this with the camera on normal settings; the red arrow points to the bird nuts in the second pic which is uncropped in any way, just levels bumped a bit.

Ace picture indeed!

I miss watching the birdies...I don't have a garden down south. :( Blue tits were always my favourite too.

crikey!!!

didn't see the photos but it must be awesome if you can see birds' nuts all the way away at the end of the garden, especially when it's this cold

ah, there's my coat, see you all later:D

Wot he said +1, or point it up at the Plaiedes cluster and see what you get, its been very visible these last few nights

I looked at Saturn last night, but it's just too far. Very small image, no clarity. And Plaiedes, invisible behind this manky, murky foggy cloud!
