They are gonna have a line rental price increase soon ... supposedly it is exactly the same as the discount you get if you sign up for on-line billing ... so guess what I just did ;)

So if like me you never read the BS that comes through the post and was unaware until someone brings it up in conversation - then here you go ... consider it brought up ;)

Yep, I read that too, but theres no way I'm signing up for their paper free billing - BT send as much spam as the little blue pill brigade, but I just delete the lot, I'd hate to have to read any of it in case my bill was amongst it.
I just cant wait until the local loop unbundling, I hate BT with a passion, they have the worst service I've ever ever ever experienced. /rant

don't have phone line. I object to line rental and connection charges.

I use VoIP, pay as per minute and average monthly bill is still less than the robbers wanted to charge for the rental

I had to pay £130 connection and now pay £11.50 line rental to BT all so i could have the damned internet and sky. Luckily its only for a year then i can swap to some other cheap line rental like the post office at £5

You can get it from alot of places for ALOT less if your not tied into BT for year like I'm.

I had to be tied in otherwise they would just not connect up the line.

Yes, I have a cable modem. Work pay my internet costs. I then have a SIP adapter and an account with Sipgate, the daughter is the same. 01772 (Preston numbers), pay as you use.

No BT for me at all.

I pay my broadband company an extra £5 a month and that includes my line rental and gives me free calls evening and weekends.
