Has anyone been suffering lately? I am currently on my 3rd of this year and I had flu for the first time in my life over Christmas.
I must of forked out a small fortune on drugs this year.
I've had the dreaded lurgy 3 times this winter... more than I usually ever get it. :?

The wifes cold has mutated to full blown man flu. Nose is now a snot factory pouring excess production down my throat.
The throat has turned into a sawmill and spread irritating splinters that make me cough and hurt to swallow.
So I guess I am currently terminally ill and due a visit by the undertaker.

I was in the early stages of man-flu (i.e. a slight sniffle) a couple of weeks ago but it's all passed now.
First time I've had anything close to a cold in over 4 years ago. Turns out then that it wasn't actually a cold but a viral infection called myocarditis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myocarditis). It started off as a sore throat, then a cold and then almighty chest pains and what several doctors initially thought was a heart attack (well, 2 actually). Not the most fun I've had but strange that since then I haven't been the slightest bit ill... bizarre.
I dont normally suffer from colds but I have had a hum dinger. The snuffle stuff has gone but I am 4 weeks in and I think I am in danger of breaking a rib I am coughing that violently. May even go see doctor soon, but with a cold ... come on!
Thanks for the opportunity to moan about it :)

Vixis has been laid up for 7 days now with something that sounds like what everyone has.
Went to the docs, got told its a bacterial infection, and got anti-biotics.
So everyone go get checked out.
man flu is it??? ;) :grouphug:
They reckon if you take all the known remedies for the common cold, it will be gone in a week. If you do nothing it could take seven days.
Keep away from children & public transport then you won't catch it.
i agree with stu on that one - its not the cold that does it, its the gathernig of people all together inside and passing all these lovely beasts on
also unis aren't too good for keeping healthy, all those bugs from different peoples communities all in the one place for lectures!
