I Know this has probably been a frequent thread... But is it a straight swap as want to put new forks on and what series of GSXR is it to put on the 99 SV650s. And can you keep the yolk and that normal and just literally change the forks over. Thanks! :)

The easiest sensible swap for a carbed SV is the GSXR SRAD, either 750 or 600. The yokes very nearly bolt right in with the Twin Works Factory top bearing and just a slight tweak to either the frame or ignition lock "bolt" if you want the parking lock to work. Steering lock works without modification too. You can stick other forks into the yokes (mine has sexeh K4 750 forks in its SRAD 750 yokes) but the whole SRAD front will give you a nice upgrade and it's as simple as a front end swap gets really.

So even a novice like me could do it.. . Is there any like how to guide on here for a curvey fork swap lying around anywhere? You got a piccie of yours up close, just to get a better view?

If you can fit a head bearing and bleed brakes, then you should be able to do it. It's not totally simple, but it's also not nearly as hard as you'd assume, any competent DIY mechanic should be able to manage it... But as a total novice... Well, it's doable but it'd be a big ask.
I've dedicated my life to spamming up the internet with pictures of my bike, so here you go

That's built with K2 forks instead of SRAD, I don;t like the SRAD mudguard basically...

Here it is with the same yokes but newer forks. Also a Fireblade fitment front wheel and SP-2 discs  But that starts to get a wee bit more fiddly!

I fooking love your bike mate!!! What a credit it is to you! The forks are great and i will take it into consideration!!! I just think the stock forks really let the side down with the cr*p finish and they sit abit to high for my liking!

Fixed the first pic... And thanks very much! It is my ridiculous baby :) There's a lot of other stuff you can do such as the cartridge emulator options, which really work very well... But if you're careful with the buying and selling the GSXR swap starts to make a lot of sense as it can be free! SV parts in good nick are expensive, old GSXR parts are not.
