SO, the new AR08 has been announced here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=105170
and I am wondering who out of the people I care about the most (TVSF :-P) is going?!
I really really definitely pretty much am, it looks supersweet and I like any excuse for a road-trip, BBQ and a load of beers and camping! Plus it is a simple basic design; no one can complain. Roll on the summer! :smt025

Nick19 option. Cant remember what date it is etc so wont know till I can be bothered to look it up and book time off work. Want to attend and seeing as this AR08 seems nice and easy - and less expensive - I cant see why I wouldnt.
Jon
It's the first weekend in July. 4-6th.
Yes I will be in attendance. :thumbleft:

Yes.
I reserve the right to do a Nick19.
I wouldn't mind going.
Bikes, bbq, beer, and camping has gotta be a good thing!

James, if you not riding yet by this point, then you already have a lift down there. I'm sure it wont be needed though.

It's not that far away and I have an unused 2man tent.. Sounds good. If we get a posse together then i'm up for it :-)

I have strict instructions to follow the minibus down as I will have one of our most valuable commodities on board. My daughter. So rightly so, I have been instructed to keep with eye view of Jo, so she wont panic.

That is a possibility but not one that is going to happen. Meg is looking forward to her first trip out with Dad on the bike, I'm not one to disappoint my children.

Firstly, i advise taking her out for a shorter trip first, to ensure she is comfortable with a longer journey.(Muhahahha out parented)
Secondly, you have already disappointed your 23 year old daughter by not giving her my number. ;)

Already planned, and besides, it doesn't matter. If she is not happy she can tell me via the intercom. Two minutes later she'll be sitting in the minibus.

After showing her a photo of you, the response was, and I quote, "Hah! I don't think so."
Life can be harsh sometimes.
Oh and for the record. She's 23 this year. So only just 22. My bad.

I'm hoping to be riding again by April, so should be all good. Just gotta wait and see what they say after x-rays in few weeks time...
Looking forward to this.
Si, any chance of stealing a bit of space for some of my gear in the "support truck".?.

Should be fine. I'll confirm closer to the time that we have the use of the minibus, but we have already been told that shouldn't be a problem.

Pah, I thought half the excitement was struggling to fit and secure all your own luggage, to the bike you ride down!

Gaylord.
If I can do Glastonbury on a bike, including tent sleeping bag, clothes, box of wine, crate of lager, etc etc etc, then you can do a namby-pamby weekend at a proper campsite without poncing luggage space!

And why bother when there is no requirement :?: Everyone can have some space in the minibus apart from Ogden who obviously prefers the "I'm 'ard I am" option.

The winner has to be my mate PJ who took a generator to the Dragon Rally, purely for the comedy effect of standing around a frozen field next to a standard lamp in smoking jackets! http://www.phillipjackson.co.uk/trips/dragon07/dragon07.html
