This really ... REALLY FOOOK's me off and so now and asking...

Have you asked or told your partner/spouse/girlfriend/Boyfriend.. to Shut up and just listen... to what you want.

I'm olny asking as a friend of mine called XXXXXX wanted to find out.

They say one of the secrets to a lasting/successful relationship is compromise...

... but you can only do this if you each know what the other really wants.

So yeah - been there, done that.

The girlfriend and I argue a fair bit to be fair, its healthy to argue. We have been together nearly 8 years now :D

my g/f is just so relaxed hardly anything phases her(wish i could be like that)so when i have a rant n rave she does'nt bite back, so that totally extinguishes my fire.

so my answer would be no we never really argue which i suppose is;nt a bad thing really as we have 2 young boys(7+4)and it would;nt be a good thing for them to see:D

Richie, I will not argue. I don't see the point. Lynne seems to want to. fires off the first salvo and I walk away. I then get grief about living with a sulker.

However, we have one rule that has worked well for us.

We may go to bed on an argument, but we never wake up on one.

If we do, we just have pudding. Which seems to settle differences.

Damm why is these days that Lynne is so well trained that we never seem to get past the the apperatif

I've learnt the best thing to do, is, never talk back or argue your point...just agree.

Tim - My nan always says, always settle an argument before you go to sleep...you may never wake up to apologise.

I guess we're so used to one another we don't bother, although occationally I will ask if she's annoyed with me as I tend not to notice ;)

worked for a few years anyway :p
