There is no switch to change to MPH. Either it is an import, or at some time in it's life it's required new clocks and that was the cheapest option.

Does it have a projector headlight on the left?

I think you can buy an insert to replace the kph dial, but don't know where from, sorry.

No worries, Hun, we all have to learn.

Well, with the projector lights combined with the kph clock it's almost certainly an import. Do you know who the supplying dealer was, as the bike should have been changed to UK spec before being sold.

We had one supplied by Taz which had an MPH speedo but projector lights.

i bought it from a dealer in leeds and they never mentioned it being an import and it doesnt say anthing on the V5..and there was no service history to tell if the clocks had been changed...this is turning into a real mystery lol i mite call the dealer and see if they "forgot" to mention anything to me

Well, I do think any dealer should know if a bike's an import, it's pretty obvious!

Legally the dealer has to tell you its an import! As for getting an MPH speedo you could either source a second hand one, get a replacement dial background with the correct MPH figures on it, or get one of those tacky stickers that you put on top of you speedo with the MPH figures on it (as often seen on Grey Import 400's).

Yes they can go onto Suzuki database and check the chasis number to tell its country of origin

Doesn't need to read in MPH to pass an MOT. Has to read in MPH to get a type approval on import though (assuming its imported).

If it's analogue you can buy a Motrax converter that fits at the bottom of the cable (gold) or at the top of the cable (blue). this gears the KPH to read tirectly in MPH. All you then need is a small MPH sticker over the KPH on the dial.

It's a curvy so a mechanical convertor won't work.

Odometer in kph but SPEEDOMETER in mph, right? It means it has been refaced at some time. Not illegal, not uncommon. You can't buy a converter because that would change the speed reading. If you really want to alter it, it means a new set of clocks etc - why bother? You'll have to explain all the changes on MOTs, Registration Doc etc etc.
