Hello,
I just picked up OEM frame sliders, i have a rough idea were they mount to the frame but i still want to make sure. Please advice.

Yeah thats the correct place to mount them, on the front cylinder. Personally it is a stupid place to mount any type of frame slider, there only designed like that to make it easy to do. For strength you would need to mount a set of the main/central engine mount bolt, like motosliders (http://www.motosliders.com/MS-1.html)!

Thanks for the quick replay and a very useful link Dangerous Dan.
I heard mixed reviews about the OEM sliders. I'm not intending on doing much racing,
just need a piece of mind, just in case of a 5km or less drop. Don't want to scratch up or dent the tank.

Slark had a drop like that, the bung popped off with pretty much zero effect on anything.
I'd get some motosliders

Wouldn't touch R&G again, even with the modifications they are flawed! Go for Motosliders, cheaper, well made, best protection, and cheap spare parts too if you ever need them.
