British small arms
Tch tch!
BIRMINGHAM Small Arms - and often linked (in my experience) to having deep pockets.
(And therefore should, perhaps, have beeen Lancashire Small Arms?)
Whenever I see the word "boring" I smile as I remember the Yellow Pages entry.........

Well my last post of last night, was obviously shook out of the database bY the earth quake.
I had referenced Brummy Small Arms.
But I also questioned bikes that people were proud to put their name on
Brough Superior, Vincent black shadow. they seem so evocative compared to Suzuki/Yamaha model number. Even H*nda despite having a hairnet in the range can make something sound right with fireblade
I always thought that Hyabusa was good, as it means falcon or somethingor other that eats blackbirds.

I was to do with its top speed being that of a diving hayabusa. But I like the thinking anyway ;)

Youse are both right.
Never thought the japs had much of a sense of humour, until Suzuki let that one out at the launch. Classic.:p
Even H*nda despite having a hairnet in the range..........
Oi!!!
Hornet sounds better than "SV650" on a number of levels ;)

I saw a bike in a museum in New Zealand (http://www.wowcars.co.nz/classiccars.html) manufactured by Alldays and Onions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alldays_&_Onions). Beat that.

My mate has an Alldays and Onions Powerhammer in his blacksmith workshop - it was powered by a 3 phase electric motor before they bought it - but as they dont have 3 phase they replaced it with a CB500 engine - no joke! They thought it would work ok in about 3rd gear at 4000rpm - in reality its only 1st at 5500-6000rpm! Been fine for the last 8 years though!
