I'm suprised you didn't feel it claire it was rather strong and if Lozzo felt it as well it wasn't that small for the UK

Didn't feel a thing, although I was playing guitar hero behind my head. Yeah, I'm pretty much the coolest person in this room.

My daughter is at uni in Lincoln, she says her housemate/boyfriend was "nearly shaken off the bog by it as he was taking a dump" (she used to be such a sweet mild mannered child). Apparently lots of stuff fell off the shelves in the flat. The epicentre was only 15 miles from her, near Louth/Cadwell Park.

I felt it in North London too - it woke me up when the bed started shaking. I thought that it was an earthquake, but it wasn't strong enough here to be worrying.

Was watching Lost. They were just breaking into the hatch and my chair started shaking!

Apparently 5.8 on the richter scale and the epicentre was around Market Rasen.

We were all sat in my mates front room chatting away, didn't notice anything untill we started getting loads of texts saying "are you dead?"

I'm wondering how long before people blame global warming, or maybe terrorists :-P

We felt it very very strong here, it went on for maybe 15 second and was fairly violent.

Our house is 3 storeys and we were on the top floor, the house was moving loads.

It was like a very very loud humming we had to pretty much shout to hear each other to the point the neighbours heard us through the wall.

Amazing yet terrifying when you wake up half asleep, first though was someone was coming/in the house, 2nd thought was that the walls of the quarry had collapsed.

I rang my parents straight away and they felt it aswell and are used to quakes from being in america etc so they knew what it was straight away.

The missus and I shat ourselfs to be fair, we arnt far from the epicentre at all as the crow flies.

There a whole street down the road sealed off as the chimneys have come off and roofs moved.

yep i felt it to,woke up at 12:59am to the sound of my multigym rattling in the bedroom for about 3/4 seconds.

Thought nothing of it at first-thought it was maybe some weird dream so fell straight back asleep. The news reminded me what had happened or i would probably never have remembered:smt015

Yeah, woke me up - turned the lamp on to see the pup standing at the bottom of the bed, looking over the edge and growling at the floor. As soon as he realised I was awake though he wimped out and ran up to hid behind my pillow. Awwwwww.

Felt it here in Teesside, the sound of the wardrobe rattling the hangers inside and the doors moving woke me up. Could feel the bed wobbling about and the first thing I said was "EARTHQUAKE". Was told to go back to sleep by OH. Woke up this morning thinking it was a dream to find that it was on the TV.
