I am testing the water to see if anyone would be interested in buying the above mentioned bike . Its in a standard condition with 17k on the clock . The bike is immaculate and a good clean example for its age . The bike is much loved and its looks like family commitments are going to force the sale . I have only used the bike to commute in emergencies as i bought it as a summer toy only . My SV is the real work horse .
Well if your'e interested or know someone that might be I am open to any serouis offer . I know what the bike is worth but what are you willing to pay ?

How often has the oil been changed? How often does it get used? Has it been let to warm up properly before its neck beign wrung?
I'd give...i dunno, £3800? I dunno what sorta price to put on it; its a couple of generations old now (since suzuki are beigning out a new redesigned GSXR750 soon....again...)
Loose the rim tape

OK lads I get the hint . The rim tape will be off this weekend . I have personally only done 4500 miles on it and there has been a full oil change and front pads change done in that time .
I sorry I must decline the offers of swaps . Cheers anyway but I need the cash . Don't get me wrong I would keep it in a heartbeat but the equity tied up in a hardley used bike is way more useful elsewhere .
And besides I love my SV aswell .

Thats the best model, mind you I would say that. :D
I like that. Test rode one of those in the aquafresh colours a few years ago...2004 to be exact...

Stupid questions if you ask me. If it was mine I could tell you I'd changed the oil every 1000 miles and you'd know no better, I could give you a bundle of receipts for oil and filters I'd used in other bikes if I felt like it. I could tell you it was only ever ridden up the road every other day at below 6K revs and only after being warmed up for an hour before riding, and you'd still know no better. No-one is going to say "I cane the living sh!t out of it from cold about once every three months and never change the oil", are they?
How about asking what dealer service history it has, if he has receipts from the dealers to back up the SH, or whether it has an HPI history, how many owners etc, things that can be verified to see if they match up with the paperwork - that's a good indication of what the seller knows about the bike, or whether he's trying to pull a fast one by misleading you.
