i have decided to sell my bike after having a fantastic year with it.

this bike is sooo nice, not the usual ragged examples. it will sell itself but here is a bit of background info. before i got the bike its previous owner was an old guy of 40+ and he had it in storage. since then i have kept the bike in A1 condition, with regular oil and filter changes(it had 4 over the summer). full service at the end of the summer including the all important valve clearances.

No nooooooooooooooo

Don't do this to me I am skint! although I have been told by an unkind person that that I would look daft on one cos I'm to big (read fat). That is a purty little bike though. Lucky for me it's not an RVF400, else would be forced to sell a kidney.

good luck to your mate, that looks a belter.

Well you're not gonna lose much money on it if you keep it in good nick.

Cool bike, wish I had the spare cash for it.

Not been ragged? Its a 400 ffs, thats what they're for. The lights are taped as well, so i assume its been tracked. :)

I wouldn't want it, but its still nice.

My sentiments exactly...

The one in the dealers seems to have been sold but see the Parkers details. (http://www.parkers.co.uk/motorbikes/used-prices/Valuation.aspx?plate=46&deriv=2595)

Thats rich...

I think your mate will find someone to buy the bike...but no-one without any sense of doing their homework first. I'd have it off him tomorrow if he wanted realistic money for it but I think he's being a bit hopeful for 2k. People on here have sold 1999/2000/2001 model sv's for less than that. That's what the market dictates.

SV's are common as muck though tbh...

It ain't my bike, so I'm not the one asking for £2k.
It's getting more and more difficult to find a VFR in that condition as well.

Anyway - enough of spamming the for sale thread please. ;)

As a slight a side...

Am I the only one to notice the picture of the VFR400 on the Parkers website is is actually an RVF400 NC35? A different bike that commands a higher premium.

Also has anyone heard of a VFR400 R3-M, I haven't. To my knowledge the VFR400 is either the NC21, NC24, or NC30. So I checked the part fische, (yes I know) and the closest reference I found was the NC30 being the R3N sub model. One can assume then the NC35 could be the R3M, but I've never heard it referred to by that.

So in summing up, the Parkers site is sh!te.
