After 4 1/2 Years and 70,000 miles with much sadness and heavy heart I am forced to say goodbye to my SV.

I was given the news last week that the engine is again on its last legs, though it didn't come as much of a surprise. The trouble is due to the mileage there is so much more that needs replacing and as I use my bike every day I can no longer depend on it. I would love to keep it as its become such a big part of my life, but space is one of the many issues that will prevent it from staying. So the time has come for me to say "Goodbye, thanks for everything".

RIP SV, you were held together by dirt and your exhaust kept falling off but you will be missed.

What are you going to replace it with? saw a brand new GSXR thou on a 2007 plate for 6999 today :p

Rideouts wont be the same anymore, no stopping for Squirrel to fix his bike with insulating tape or some other bodgery...

Can we all form an orderly queue so that Steve can hand back all the bolts, washers, jubilee clips etc that he has cadged over the years ;)

you tried to wash it didin't you... did it dissolve?

that's shame, those backfires were something else - amazing, makes me chuckle every time i think about it.

I've still got the tail section of the 650 K6 to help get you started again, but you have to supply your own fixing gaffer tape... ;)
