View Full Version : WoW - no game is worth this
Having spent last night downloading the 871MB patch followed by the subsequent patches (I get home from the pub and find my installations not working properly... mate says uninstall and reinstall.) Warning from Soulkiss earlier went amiss due to pubbishness.
So. I uninstalled and reinstalled... and now I'm having to download the 871MB patch AGAIN as well as the others.
I am FOOKING FURIOUS. Where the Hell is customer services for WoW so I can rip into them?????
I've NEVER been this angry over a smegging GAME in my life. And angry is an extreme understatement. Livid.... I've had enough bad news today thankyou Blizzard. :smt076

WoW Tech support are over in France Ping :)
Never had an initial install crap out on me tho.
If you are running Vista there is a slight issue with permissions on a file - just run the install as Admin to get round that
Oh and always backup the patches

Han Solo never said anything about brownies iirc...
Ping - i feel your pain, i went and paid good money for Half Life 2 when it came out, bundled along with their software distribution package Steam(ing pile of..) - Nothing but a pain from day one, stuttery gameplay, even on a decent computer for the time (A64 3500+, x850xt pe, 1GB RAM) and the never ending downloads that were forced on you before you could play. eventually i shelved it after playing it through
couple of years later and i go back to find they're released a load of sequal add ons like episode one and two, plus a few games based on the source engine like portal. i had a choice, pay my money again for steam infected games, or pirate them, i chose the latter and enjoyed trouble free playing (save for one section in Ep2 that crashed about 10 times in a row) without all the ****e
surely something is wrong when the people that pirate the games get a better experience than those that follow the rules and pay up?

Ah, well, at least it's not as bad as that Eve patch that broke everyone's PCs
