View Full Version : The Matrix and other films you just have to revisit...
Just putting the DVD of The Matrix on. Just sometimes you have to go back and watch a film just to remind yourself of why you felt the way you did about it. IMHO it is a fabulous film, not convinced about the sequels though.
What are the films you have to revisit every once in a while?

Forrest Gump. Always makes me laugh and brings a tear to my eye at the same time.
Life of Brian as well.
And of course No Limit (see Avatar).
Funny you should ask this. Earlier on I watched Quadraphenia for the umpteenth time.
For me;
"As good as it gets", "La Vita Bella", "Notting Hill", "Pretty Woman":p

Breakfast club, Back to the future, Matrix, Blues Brothers, Top Gun.
We were actually trying to out quote each other at work today from Back to the Future.
Lindsey gobsmacked us all by quoting Dr Emmet Browns entire speech on how he discovered the flux capacitor.

dirty dancing.....classic musicals....the green mile, shawshank redemption. I have a habit of forgetting the majority of a film after a period of about 3 weeks so I really get my money's worth from dvds  8-[
And I forgot what a flippin' AWESOME soundtrack the Matrix has! Where's the head banging smiley when you need one! :D

The Big Lebowski and Gladiator. I've no idea why I have to do it with Gladiator, just that every so often I get the music stuck in my head and nothing works but watching the damn film again. I watch the last bit of the Good the Bad and the Ugly quite often, but not the whole thing.
Ahh the Matrix. Happy days of having TV's and ICE sytems in the cars (before screens went into cars proper style) and the "entering the building gun scene" blasting through two 12"s ;)
In fact, I watched the trilogy last weekend. Love Matrix ;)
saving Ryans Privates,love that film
oh ,and Toy Story
"you're not a space ranger!!!!!!!!!! You're just a childs PLAY THING"
Fight Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Goodfellas. TBH pretty much aany of the DVD's i own but i love the forementioned.

I watched it twice, discussed it and thought I understood. It certainly made sence.
Then I tried further research:

and now I'm confused all over again.
I love movies that last far beyond the time it took to watch them.
I guess you've seen:
12 Monkeys
6th Sence
Butterfly Effect
Memento
Vanilla Sky
Run Lola Run
Which are all good movies for making you think

Anyone planning on watching the butterfly effect.. don't read the back cover as it reveals and spoils the whole plot for you in one neat paragraph!
