I've noticed there are a few people online today, so wondered why they aren't out on their bikes?:D

Sadly for me, Pete is doing one of his 4-a-year Sundays at work today, so as it's Mothers Day I'm chilling out and have started re-reading my David Eddings 'Elenium' trilogy.

What are you all up to?

My daughter may or may not call round later, and she may or may not have the usual box of Ferrero Rocher, which I then may or may not scoff in one sitting while reading my book:D

Working out why my broadband went from 7.2 megabit down to under 1 megabit when I added some new phone sockets. So I've been troubleshooting phone sockets this afternoon. I'd needed an extra socket for my new Sky box, so I'd hurriedly wired one in when the Sky installer was here, and hadn't connected it up correctly. The phone socket worked OK, but it had messed up the broadband. Now fixed and broadband is up to 5.5 megabits, so still not as fast as it was.

not out on bike as its still broken

i got up early and painted kitchen and bathroom ceiling white, then painted bedroom walls magnolia and started glossing skirting boards in hall.

was stopped by a scream from the attic. One of my daughters gerbils had killed and eaten the others face and front legs. body disposal and helping her to change all sawdust etc just in case any body parts lurking.

woohoo social whirl that is my life

I feel sorry for those who have had to work today. There should be some law about bikers not having to work at weekends:D

Oh well, we went out yesterday so I can't complain too much I suppose;)

No biking for me:thumbdown:, getting me rather annoyed it is, I know it would be more preferable to tiles and expanding foam. But then again the weathers been poop, maybe next weekend.....then i'll find its snowed for me:(

In Church on Sunday mornings... :D
However it would have been a perfect afternoon to ride here.....
And I really need to get away some on the bike....
But..... the lovely Mrs. BanannaMan forgot to go by and pay my bike insurance last week, due at the end of the month. http://cenvachristiansportbike.homestead.com/files/motz2.gif
Which I will now have to go and pay "late" on Monday.

But it's still early here...today is nice..... but riding season doesn't usually start until April sometimes May.....and Mother's Day isn't until late in May.
(Proving yet again the Colonies are still behind the rest of the world)
I am going on a the first big ride of the season here on March 29th with some mates but it will likely be a cold ride, being high in the mountains.

Ironic that in a land full of excellent roads here, there are so few riders.
That not counting the kids on sportbikes who never ride past the city limit signs. And commuting on bikes is almost totally nonexistent.
To the meeting spot/start of ride on the 29th for me is just over 100 miles.
About 50 to 75 miles for most of the others.
It'll be a 350 to 400 mile day for most which is typical of any group ride with more than 2 bikes.
The roads and scenery are great though and make it all worthwhile...

I can't imagine a land where there are so many riders that I might know another SV owner....

:-({|= ...sigh...

Ok... I'll shut up now....bummed I missed a good day riding.
