Dear All,
it is with great sadness, that I must announce to you the death of Helen. She passed away on Thursday 21st February.
I first met Helen through this forum in 2004, and specifically the SELKent meetings which were then based at a pub on the A21 at Green Street Green, just outside London. She was then the proud and nervous owner of a new pointy K3 naked 650.
Always with a sparkle in her eye, she joined myself, Chutz and Coombest throughout the spring on jaunts across Kent and Sussex, as we all learnt to ride our relatively new bikes.
In June that year, following my unusual accident, we got together, and spent the next 3 and a half years together.
Since those early days, Helen had become a familiar face at both the SELKent and Soho meetings, not to mention a fairly frequent poster on these pages. She will be sorely missed by her Ma and Pa, Brother and Sister-in-law, family and friends. I know I will, I loved her so very much.
Her funeral will be held this Friday, 7th March, in Maidstone. If you knew her, and would like to attend, please contact myself, or: Debs (Coolgirl), Cazza, or Sid Squid for details.
If you are able to, her family encourage donations to the MIND charity (www.mind.org.uk (http://www.mind.org.uk)). Alternatively, I know Helen would have supported donations to any charity supporting our four-legged fuzzy-faced friends, such as the Dogs Trust (www.dogstrust.org.uk (http://www.dogstrust.org.uk)).
I would like to thank all those that have contacted me with their best wishes and support. But particularly to Sid Squid, and Cazza; your support to me over this past week; and your friendship to both Helen and me have meant a great deal. When I called on you, you came instantly, thank you so much!
Thanks to Fizz for sorting out this post, as it is beyond my moderatorial means.
