Queen - The Greatest band ever! (?)

Well I absolutly LOVE THEM :smt055. Just started listening to them a bit more recently. I love the miricle album, my fav I think. So good.

So what do you the SV mob think? :)

Talk about stating the bleeding obvious.

My one big regret in life is that I never actually got to see them perform live.

And despite the efforts of May and co, they should NEVER perform under the name Queen ever again, no matter who they get to stand in for Freddy.

Not saying that they are not great musicians in their own right, but without Freddy there can be no queen, he is totally irreplaceable.

Although i wasent older :-ddenough to appreciate Queen in the best years, they still remain one of my all time fav bands. The songs are so superb, the way they are written and performed outlays any modern music u get today.:D

Also agreed that no one can replace Fred.
His vocal range and power is unmatched.
Listen to others. They just can't belt em out like Freddy did!

Was at Wembly in 86 - probably their last proper tour... being part of the crowd doing the Radio Ga Ga clapping thing was unforgettable!

Queen are pretty damn good. But for me, metallica are one of the best bands ever. I find comfort in alot of their songs, especialy Fade To Black.

Note I say one of the best - there are many bands out thre that are great, and I cant stick a title of "greatest band ever" on any band...but there are some that I think are better than others

I can remember watching Queen concert on TV when I were a nipper...think it were kind a magic tour..wembley. My mum was a reall big fan..she cried when Freddy died. I think they were one of the most top dooo daaa bands of all time. I love em.....even Matts a closet fan.
