Just about to knock up a race loom for my curvy sv, I plan to remove the ignition key assembly and just use the on/off switch instead. has anybody else tried something similar, any info/advice much appreciated.

Yes I plan to keep the alternator. I am reasonably clued up on the principles of automotive wiring, I was interested in any "lessons learnt" that could be shared within the forum, theres no substitute for experience.

You'll need a resistor from one wire of the ignitor box to earth, normally works as a kind of basic immobiliser.
(It's the wire that runs to the ignition and nothing else, can't remember the colour offhand)
