View Full Version : The Anchor
Who wants to give this meet another go? I went in the other day and the food prices and drink prices are on par with Britannia and although its more restaurant like inside there are big tables we could reserve.
Also while in there I spotted at least two dogs, so the pub seems to allows dogs in as long as there under leash.
How about giving it a go at some point then?

Not for me. Too far away.
Have I been there before?
Have I been there before?
yes we sat outside
Ah, now I remember, nice pub... would be good for the summer weather.
April then, clocks will have gone forward & I'll be back with my holiday tan making you all feel warmer :D
Decent food, but we stuck out like sore thumbs when we turned up on the bikes.
Wait that's not a problem, as no one turns up on bikes.
I don't think we should go because Dan won't go.

Just did a google maps Dan, if you take the shortest route from the ely pub to britannia and to the Anchor theres a miles difference.
Just an idea about the pub though

Well, it feels like it is. A3 passed Guildford. I think it's near Risbury......or Jizbury.
Somewhere like that anyways.

It's near the RHS gardens at Wisley, so it's full of middle aged women

i like it there especially two years ago when we had a decent summer and we could sit outside
28 miles from work or 20 miles from the London pad, and 50 miles from Portsmouth.

Blimey, I can only just about afford one pad. Although that said I plan to have several bikes. :p

Well if you want decent money in the IT game you need to play the market and for me thats working in London, having the second place to stay works out just about the same as the fuel and bike costs.
