Picture of my Pelvis today. Sorry it's a bit blurred but I had about 5 seconds to take it on my mobile before the consultant came in.

Very nice! I don't think many will be able to top that.

You CAN request all of your X-rays on CD - may cost you tho.
When I did my Collar bone, because I was attending a fracture clinic at another hospital, they gave me the CD to take with me.
So being the Geek I am, I chucked it into my PC to see what was on it.
Got this off of it :)

So what did they say you had done? Apparently I dislocated my pelvis in 97 where you have your plate, but went back in place of it's own accord. Did you break a bit?
FWIW My pelvis is 100% now (rest of me a bit knackered though)

Wouldnt say its 100% - might be what makes sitting on a VFR seem good tho :P
Only joking mate - would have one (with the panniers) for touring on :)

Yes I broke the front of my pelvis & fractured the back. Apparently where the metal plate is, that hole in the middle isn't supposed to be there. In a male the pelvis should be solid at the front (joined by muscle & soft bone). When I was taken to A & E the gap was 4.2cm, now it's at 3cm and will stay like that.
Cheers soul, I'm at the Hospital again tomorrow, so I think I'll have a word :)
That looks nasty!!!!!!!
Part of my dads X-ray from a year or 2 back.
He's still having troubles, and has a 12" scar for the fun of it. Also found out he now needs surgery on his shoulder. Thats along with the back issue, and leg issue, and reaction to certain drugs etc......
The pelvis ball is about 1.5" too far to the left out of the socket. If you look you can see all the lines and breaks just to the left of the hip ball too. Around 15 breaks in total.

Nasty break that Mr C, hope your recovery is still going well ....... my workmate broke her leg and dislocated her ankle in a fall yesterday. I took this pic from the computer on A and E and the break to the fibia is quite clear

This could turn into a good thread, could do with changing the title to "Show us your x ray" :)
Some nasty breaks out there. Daimo that one of your dads is really nasty :(.
these breaks get me, i always think about a break being covered in plaster, must be my old age showing through :-D

I don't think Im Indoors has any xrays from soo long ago. Something along the lines of Daimo's dad I should imagine. He has a nice big curvy scar, a few inches long, right round his bum cheek.
This is quite an odd thread, suppose it beats 'show us your tattoo's or summat?'

Wow that is truly broke. Judging by the screw alignment I think your pelvis is actually fine but you had your ar£$e up against an MFI cabinet at the time of the Xray.
Has anyone made the gag yet "you have a ladies pelvis!!! I wager that pelvis etc etc..." :takeabow:

Not to mention they had to cut all the leg muscles to get to it all, so they are still bonding together too.
H'es going to have issues for the rest of his life i think. :( Won't stop him riding though, he broke his neck in his early 20's
Just another reason to be so carefull on the road.

unfortunately most of the metal strap things have now been removed and the short pins as these were holding the bone together last year, only have a few bolts and screws in there now ( the big fat ones hold the PCL replacement in place.
