If you are REALLY p*ssed of with them, to the point that you think "thats it, I'm out of here" but the thought of a reality without them in your life physically hurts.

Not the "hearts and flowers" romantic times, thats endorphines, its at the "bad times" that you know

When you can't wait to get home and just hug them.

When you think about them it makes you smile.

When you wake up to them each morning and think "you're beautiful".

When you see them sleeping and you want to wrap them up in your arms and protect them from any harm.

When every future event you think about has them in it.

The thought of being without them makes you feel sick and lost.

When even through the troubled times you still fall asleep hugging each other.

To name but a few. As you can tell, I quite like my wife. :)

What Mike said :)

And what matt said..
Knowing that you can't go without seeing her..
But the best bit is how your heart smiles as soon as you see her, and everything is suddenly perfect :)

More? ok...well, its hard to explain, but theres a feeling of being relaxed. I'm kinda tense until maria gets home, then when she's home and we're just in the same room together, I feel relaxed. there's no one thing that i can say "thats a definate sign of love, that"...its loadsa things. Looking after me when im ill, coming out on the bike with me

Its the things I know im prepared to do for her aswell, like make phone calls (beleive me, thats a big thing - im not great on the phone talking to strangers), take time off to go to the hospital, listen for her, clean her car without being asked too

and theres all the toher mushy kissy kissy stuff too :D

One time I wondered what it'd be like if we never met. I felt a bit ill, and nearly crashed....warning: dont contemplate life without loved ones when riding in busy traffic in the morning

Sadly, I think that's pretty accurate. You can be happy with lots of people when things go well. It's the one you can't imagine life without when it goes wrong that is the one you love.

When they are not there you feel you can't fight the world, your stuffing has gone and you 'can't be bothered' to do anything.

Mr Lou and I have been together nine years, and he's away at the mo, and that's how I feel.

yep, could run him over a lot of times, then bash him with a hammer, but we are the only two to be able to cope with each other. He knows i'm the only one stubblrn enough to deal with his stubborness and pigheadedness and vice versa. I don't get flowers ever, just muck n grease. We hate each other, but love each other. Couldn't live without each other. Like Pinky and the brain....together we could take over the world

You find your socks and pants are all clean and in the draws even though the last time you saw them they where on the bed room floor.
Can't remember the last time you cooked a meal, yet you eat well every night and have put on 3 stone.
After a long journey home on a cold late night you find a bath already run and lovely and hot.
Birthdays and events are remembered for you as you always forget to buy cards.
Your bike is washed when it gets really minging.

Any I missed?

For all you 2-week people.

Met Vixis on the Sunday, saw her again on the Wednesday, went out on the Saturday, she moved in on the Sunday.

That was over 10 years ago and we have never been apart for more than 7 days at a time - and then only twice has it been more than a long-weekend.

Or, when you talk to her about your innermost fantasies and deepest desires, she walks out without a word, and you spend an hour painfully convinced that you've ruined another beautiful relationship.

Then the phone rings and she says "I've got the chickens and the toilet plunger, but they're out of Marmite. Will Bovril do?"

my bf is 450 miles away and I only see him maybe 3 times a year. Been together 4 years this summer and moving in together - cant wait.

I had to wait 38 years to find my soul mate. For me I know its the real thing because when we are apart I miss him. Send approx 30 texts a day and talk for 2 hours on the phone every night. My ex husband was in the navy on subs and would go away for months at a time and I never once in 12 years missed him.

I know im in love because I can image being with him for the rest of my life (with him being 12 years younger than me he is obviously going to outlive me lol).

We have had lots of crap to deal with as a couple but he makes me happy. That is all the matters. anyway he will probably read this (due to psycho ex we cant name him)

you know who you are I LOVE YOU

I see Im Indoors once a week, in between Uni and work. Hes away in his house all week and comes over when hes had enough of study midweek. We work opposite shifts at work and see each other for a few seconds over the weekends for handovers then.

Ahhhhh but the suffering will hoopefully end when he graduates in summer. i so need him at home its like banging my head against a wall. Its been a very long hard battle these 4 years, not only Uni, but, the whole Ex thing, and kid thing. I'm lucky he was my best friend before we got together. Everyone said it were about time it happened when we finally got together.......now all they say is when the hell are you going to doing the single man thing and move in.......nearly here, nearly here. Hard work comes first, then we can reap what we've sown, so to speak

Cool :smt111:smt111

When you know in your soul that before any harm came to them you would crawl over broken glass and cut yer own leg off. Literally. And that you know if someone was harming them you would be prepared to rip their arm off, beat them to death with the soggy end, decapitate them with a blunt spoon and then sh#t down their neck. Literally.......and figure to yourself that will pretty much cover everything likely to come down the pipe in the foreseable.

And then you get off the plane from a faraway land and find she's gone and fooking died on you......and you never got the chance to crawl over the broken class or to cut your own leg off. and you want someone to blame so you can rip their arm off, beat them to death with the soggy end, decapitate them with a blunt spoon and then sh#t down their neck. Literally. But their simply isn't anybody else to blame.

Yeah, when you think about them it makes you smile :)........cos' yer know she would done it / felt it for you :):):)

The fact that you have a drunken conversation that starts off with "Im not intrested in a realationship.." but a week later you cant bear to be apart.

You can share a single bed with them even though they wriggle and snore

You want the same things out of life

You grin every time you get a text/call from then

How about when you're standing in front of the altar at the church, you look back and see your very pretty wife walking down the aisle - only she's a bridesmaid and you wish you'd married your gorgeous ex-girlfriend of 4 yrs instead, who's the one in front wearing white.

I was best man at my ex-burd's wedding - she married one of my best mates. My ex-wife was her best mate and a bridesmaid.

Or...

8 years after you split up you see your beautiful ex in a wedding dress at the reception and have to leave with eyes welling up, because you can't handle how you really screwed up there and threw away a potentially wonderful future with her and your three inherited ex-nearly-step-kids.

There you go folks, that's love

When at the weekend you thought that you werent gonna be together anymore because of your own fook up and typical 4rseholeness, but it bought a lump to your throat thinking of life without her. When she is sat there in a heap of tears and its all your fault and at that point you feel like a letdown to her and wanna to hold a gun to your head because you've upset her. When you try to leave but you can't because its on a bad note.

On the brighter side...

When you see her come on MSN for a natter you smile, when you see her you could be freezing cold but would be warm as soon as you see her, when she touches you it sends a tingly feeling all over. When you get a text and you know its her thats text you. When you wake up next to her and smile to yourself. If you can't live without her for 4 days let alone 2 weeks liek some of ya :(

Most of all, when you know that she is the only woman in the bloody world that can put up with me as I am and love me back for who I am :)

When you find yourself crying, and I don't mean lump in the throat, I mean tears rolling down your face, at that bit in Highlander where he lights a candle in the church and says, 'Happy birthday Heather.'

That was 11 years ago on Sunday and I'm a bit damp in the ocular region just typing this post!

I mean if it was Brief Encounter or Casablanca then that might just mean you were quite keen on them, but when Highlander sets you off, that's a soul mate...

When the thought of life without him is too painful to contemplate

When you feel like half of you is missing without him by your side

When he is on your mind 24/7 and makes you smile/laugh/giggle instantly with the simplest thing

When you look back into the past and wonder how the hell you coped without him in it
