Goverment takes action to prevent stupid people hurting themselves (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/itn/20080304/tuk-padding-to-protect-pedestrians-dba1618.html)

Sometimes i do wonder if we're preventing the whole point of evolutionary process, killing off the genetically inferior members of the species:rolleyes:

Thats just rediculous!! they'll be making foam cars next to stop people getting hurt when they cross the road when they don't look!! If you're stupid enough to not look where you're going... which i have noticed is most of london to be honest (well everytime i have been their i have almost hit someone or had people walk into me!).

Thats stupid, instead of tackling the cause they just try and make it less damaging, what happens when someone is texting and driving!
If you walk into a lampost while texting you deserve to knock yourself out and look like a numptie oh and have everyone point and laugh at you.

Surely that's just going to encourage people to walk down the street and text without looking.

Next they'll be asking drivers to add a huge ram-scoop with a goose feather pillow to the front of their cars.

I'd vote for the party that instigates that.

Talk about taking the fun out of everything, I thionk it's highly amusing seeing people walking to things as I find it reassuring that people are as daft as me :D I remember walking headfirst into a lampost as a kid (just because I wasn't looking I think) and I just bumped me noggin, not exactly life-threatening! But then I guess kids are naturally more capable of bouncing off things

And how are people supposed to learn NOT to walk into them if they don't hurt themselves the first time round?

:smt046:smt046 I can see it now where they will have people employed to hand out the tickects:salut: (no it won't be me), haha thats so funny.

+1 why stand in the way natural selection? Its the one sure way of getting rid of the numpities in society. Its like handing out a tickect for people that don't wear lids, nature will take its course;)
