um, seriously - if you've got pins & needles in your left arm or it's numb, be safe & bypass the GP & go straight to A&E.

Well I'm not dead. ;)

Doc sent me directly to the neuros at the local hosp and they saw me straight away. Had a few basic reaction and coordination tests done and there's nothing major to declare. They reckon it's just a glitch in my nervous system from when I had my mini-stroke 3 years ago and I should rest for a day or two.

This is me resting, thanks for all the good wishes :D

All the best.

I'm in bed with the lappie and a wireless connection, all remotes are within reach and I've even brought a kettle and a jug of water up to make coffee.

Resting Loz-style rocks.

That's because it had nothing to do with broken bones, torn ligaments or various parts of your knee trying to vacate the premises...

... any of those and we can be bang on teh mark with our combined experience!

I knew I wasn't having a stroke - been there done that, so I know what it feels like. I just felt a bit weirdly spaced out and not coordinated enough to make a coffee, and my left arm wouldn't do as I wanted it to. I get the odd day like this, but this is the worst it's ever been in the 3 yrs since I had a mini-stroke.

On the bright side, I took my SV in for MOT yesterday evening, they just rang to say it's passed. 30 years of riding crap old bikes and I've never had an MOT failure yet.

When I bought my first house, I had to sell everything, including car and bike. I bought a £50 Datsun 100a in fudge yellow/brown. It was called the poo car, so I even had a plastic turd glued on the bonnet. It beat everyone at the lights due to the stealth smoke cloud, and handled funny due to having one 15" wheel and three 14". Stevie found nothing wrong with it, bless him.

Thankfully I got a lift.

I did collect the bike form the shop though, it felt weird coasting the 150 yards downhill to my house.

We had a local MOT place like that when I was younger, but there aren't any like that left. My SV is all A1, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Ye,a I remember you saying. Perhaps that physical effort (ok, its not alot but you know what I mean) set of what you are experiancing now then?

Take it easy....you never know, in the free time, you might discover yet more bits to paint black on your SV ;)

I'm busy highlighting the shiny bits today, I received a Chewy's full-bike stainless steel bolt kit that needs fitting. The shiny new race filler cap for my CBR600 arrived as well....shiny, beautifully machined alloy bits rock.

Don't do it, you need a highly polished black bike to show off shiny bits properly

I'll know its there, and my dad will know its there, and so wil people I point the bits out too. Otherwise, non-observant people wont get the chance to go "oooooOOOOooo their posh!"
