I like the challange and excitment you get with dunking a Rich tea, is not the same with a hobnob, at any moment you might be fishing it out of your tea.

Who need extream sports, me, nice bug mug of tea and a packet of Rich teas.

Grinch - now you're talking!!! The perfect dip:

Keep the biscuit in long enough for it to be all soft, but not too long for it to wobble and drop in the tea, although attempting to fish it out with another rich tea is quite a sport!!!!

pah, OneDips are weaklings, pathetic biscuts. Theres no challenge, just a let down. It just goes soggy, like wet cardboard

Now digestives, thats a discut for dunking. Gotta break it in half first mind, but you can get a good dunk

Simple rule... When a cake goes stale it goes hard, when a biscuit goes stale it goes soft. Thats why Jaffa cakes are cakes, just little ones as they go hard when they go stale.

:-)

Simple rule... When a cake goes stale it goes hard, when a biscuit goes stale it goes soft. Thats why Jaffa cakes are cakes, just little ones as they go hard when they go stale.

Absolutely correct. This was actually the subject of a court case, when the government wanted to charge VAT on Jaffa Cakes:

Under UK law, no VAT is charged on biscuits and cakes — they are "zero rated". Chocolate covered biscuits, however, are subject to VAT at 17.5%. McVities classed its Jaffa Cakes as cakes, but in 1991 this was challenged by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and the case ended up before the courts. This may have been because Jaffa Cakes are about the same size and shape as some types of biscuit. A question that the court asked itself was "what criteria should be used to class something as a cake?" McVities defended its classification of Jaffa Cakes as cakes. In doing so it produced a giant Jaffa Cake to illustrate that its Jaffa Cakes were simply mini cakes.
McVities argued that a distinction between cakes and biscuits is, inter alia, that biscuits would normally be expected to go soft when stale, whereas cakes would normally be expected to go hard. It was demonstrated to the Tribunal that Jaffa Cakes become hard when stale....

Mr Potter ruled that the Jaffa Cake is a cake. He further ruled that, if it is relevant, it is not a biscuit. McVities therefore won the case and we do not pay VAT on Jaffa Cakes

So eat Jaffa Cakes and celebrate a victory over the taxman :D
