Out to buy some new shoes tomorrow morning, then off to Reading V Man City and several beers.. Sunday, was planning a rideout but plans are scuppered due to no bike! Will probably be waiting around for it not to be delivered most of the day and watch the Moto GP in the evening..

My life is all glamour..

Tomorrow I will be mostly working. As most know, I do the family stuff at weekends so not really too chuffed. Will be trying to make up for it on Sunday, so that just about takes care of my weekend.

Have to say though, I enjoyed my ride to work on the B roads and in the rain this morning. And also enjoyed the roads on the way home when they had dried out.

You gotta love those B roads.

well im in oxford on sat night for a gig, might be playing, maybe even djing, dont really know whats going on yet. If your not up to much then head down, its at The Bullingdon Arms Cowley Road, my mates from uni's trip hop band and then some rock bands with djs and stuff. If you fancy letting me stay at your house in oxford then i could drink which would kick some major ass. If not then im riding home/sleeping in the street.

What a poo day.

I can't believe that a work colleague (I use the term 'work' loosly in this instance) travelled from Swindon to Reading on a Saturday, to spend the entire day surfing the net so he could book a days overtime.

I hate people like him. They do the bare minimum at work, have no interest helping anyone else out even if he can see they have a heavy work load and he has nothing to do. I hate working weekends but at the moment have little option if I want to get the work done (short staffed). Yet he feels it quite OK to turn up do f*** all, and then go home again with a nice days OT in the back pocket. I have a mind to shop him. Grrrrr

I haven't had too bad a day. Got the tyre sorted, scrubbed it in as best I could on damp roads between here and Wallingford, and tried to make the chain look a bit less brown.

Fingers crossed (in the face of long odds) for reasonable weather tomorrow morning.

Scratch that. It's going to be cold, or wet, or cold and wet.

Think I'll stay in bed and watch Frankenfish instead. Next weekend looks better.

Its not too cold, but i guess 7C isn't ideal. Intermittent showers look a pain as well.

I think i might just ride to Uni and submit my assignments instead.

So, did anyone actually go out to play today?

I slept in late, and got lumbered with some customer work at 2.30, just as the weather was properly brightening up, so all I've managed today was a run to Sainsburys and back in the car. I trust someone here had more fun than that...

I went to uni via runnymede, so had a little blast. Nice weather on the way there, but a bit bleak on they way back. :)

Finally your temper starts to become a little frayed. :p

If he said he would bring it around today and didn't, then i personally wouldn't pay the guy. :smt045

The problem I have is that the bike is still in bits as far as I know. If I start getting ar$ey then he's not likely to try his best to sort out whatever the problem is. I would say don't bother with the cam chain just put it all back together and i'll go elsewhere but he has already fitted it 'apparently'.. :smt102

I see your predicament. :(

I was prepared to give these guys a go, but they just don't seem reliable/trustworthy.

I just don't see how its taking so long. You could have probably done it by now. :D

Went out for a ride on both saturday sunday, although sunday was a ride home / hoon so that doesnt really count as I had to do that anyway. Think the weather was a bit better over in cambridgeshire by the sounds of it, Saturday was overcast but pretty warm. Sunday wasn't so warm, and I arrived back in Oxford with frozen nuts - which was not so much fun. why i thought it would be a good idea to take my thermal layer out this early in the year i don't know. Still, got in about 250 miles or so, but 70% of that was A-roads :-(
