If you dont know your sodimm from your dimm from your DDR2

Go here http://www.crucial.com/uk/ throw in the make and model of your laptop and they will sell you good quality memory at a fair price.

Crucial memory is good stuff and almost an industry standard.

the pc3200 is faster but if you already have pc2700 it doesn't mean that it will work for sure.

with every single laptop I have had to put memory in I always go to a shop and before I buy I ask them to test it. if it works I hand over my hard earned.

if crucial guarantee that it will work go for either. Check their return policy as well.

+1. Crucial are very good and reasonably priced. I've used them before with no problems, and I've built many a PC.

The 3200 is better / faster but if you mixing memory chips together say one at 3200 and one at 2700 then the faster chip will slow down so that they are both at the same speed: 2700.
