...apparently there's a storm coming, not just any old storm, the biggest of the year
which is odd, considering we had beautiful sunshine all day and not a breath of wind right up til sunset...
hope those who do get blasted remain relatively unscathed, don't park your bikes crosswind tomorrow people;)
I hope my roof gets ripped off.. with no injurys to anyone... so I can get a new roof on the insurance that wanted to fix it after last weeks windy gales.

Calm before the storm as they say :) Really was lovely today but bitterly cold! I'm on the Welsh coast and the sea is looking mighty choppy already  .....
Exciting stuff :D

Hmm, I very nearly ended up on an empty transporter lorry this morning. Which wouldn't have been an issue save for the fact that we were both doing about 50mph at the time. I was riding along the M3 by Thorpe Park went through a flyover tunnel. Came out the other side and it felt like someone just pushed me and bike across two lanes. All I could do was pray to the gods of wood and muffins. Luckily my superior skill and alertness saved me.
Okay, so I sh*t my pants and panicked but the result was the same.

From EC2 to SW9. Nice walk, I'd say;)

well the police were telling anyone who had a car parked out on the sea front to move it post haste due to 80 mph winds on the way later on.... We are all advised to stay indoors, lots of flooding about and the rain is really coming down, such a shame I must attend lectures! :D

EC1Y please Ed :)
Nice walk you say,
Well down Moorgate and over London Bridge I will grant you.
From Borough to Oval, erm probably not.
Yes its only 4.4 miles (as measured on the bike) which qualifies, based on distance, as a nice walk, based on route however........

The crosswinds on the A3 were more than just cross this morning- quite a scary journey in. Exciting though. Fortunately, Weybridge isn't suffering greatly from debris yet (it'll probbly wait for the journey home).
I was extremely amused to see a 4x4 move out into the road to avoid a huge puddle. Except that they clearly didn't look and see me overtaking them in the central reservation at the time. What DO they buy those cars for then?
