View Full Version : Chain Sleeve/Cover?
I have got a large chain for the bike which is covered in a, now, brittle plastic type sleeving which is falling apart leaving just the bare chain.
Is there a sleeve or cover I can buy for it so that I don't damage my wheels?
Or am I going to be forced to buy a new chain?

Take it you are talking about a security chain? You'd want a fabric one I think, they seem to last well. As to where to get them from I do not know, some chain manufacturers may sell them individually.
You could make one??? It's only a fabric tube!!!
Buy a bicycle inner tube, cut out the valve section, use plenty of baby powder to slide it over the chain.
it's quite a large chain!!!
it's quite a large chain!!!
Too big to fit into a Mountain Bike Inner Tube? That's some chain.
For some reason I was thinking racer!!! What a spanner I am!
What about some large diameter "heat shrink" tubing ??/
