View Full Version : New here
Hello
I have been lurking on here for a while now and found it is time to step out in the open as it where.
I live on Tenerife so have the weather to ride year round and that is why I donŽt have the time to do many if any mods on my bike, plus the fact, that bits are hard to come by here in the banana republic. I have a 2000 SV 650 N that I got second hand and use it for my day to day commute to work and to play on the weekends. Originally I come from Germany, so excuse my lousy spelling.

Funny you should ask that but about 3 years ago there where almost none but now things are picking up real fast. I have no idea why it took them so long to find out, that we have the perfect weather and great roads to boot for bikes.

I hate English weather........i'll swap for your sunny stuff
oh and hello
excuse my lousy spelling.
If we worried about spelling most of us would not be posting.
Welcome.

oh and hello
The downside is, that it gets a bit steamy in leathers over the summer, more so in town, so one has to try to keep on the move or :smt030 lots.

Gutten tag amigo :)
I lived in tenerife briefly too. Little village called Alcala and it has the best little tapas bar/pension run by the nicest people. Domingo and his wife, he used to be a freedom fighter in south america dont you know.
Anyway, since you wont be able to join us over here for a rideout anytime soon i suggest you take a trip there to Domingo's and try his excellent food and unique atmosphere.
And if you do go i beg you please to take a picture of him and his wife for me. i lost all my pictres from my time abroad and i'd love to see them again :D

There are a few hire places on the island that have nice bikes for all tastes. Have not seen an SV for hire though. A mate of mine works for one and sometimes I do the guide bit for groups that come out.

Does she work in the wigan pier ?????
no idea, lost touch years ago. she has a daughter called Callie, who will be 15 or 16 by now. She'll be pushing 40 herself. She worked in Bonkers some time ago, and ran beach parties, but all this in the late 80's when I was over there
