I got the gloves last year for 15 quid and they are the best waterproof gloves I have ever owned, being that I yet to have wet hands even after a full winters riding.

I also have the tank bag from 3 years ago and its just starting to give up now, after about 40k miles of use.

I did also own a Jaket from there but I found the design on the sleeve sucked and it let in water (took it back for a refund), looking at the design in the news letter I picked up in store they have imporved it now.

The little battery charger is also a great purchase.

They have put the Waterproof trousers up by £10 :o
I only paid £39.99 last year. I need a new pair cos my others were cut off after my accident. I might look elsewhere

Sounds good, I might get some. 2 things-
1. Any experience of them in an off? How did they perform? If not, do they at least look/feel strong?
2. How thick/insulated are they? Can you still feel heated grips through them?

I still use a back protector from there. Comfy, very cheap and more robust than some more expensive ones I've seen. Mine protected me very well when I skated down the road on my back at 60mph, even with a laptop in my (bog standard, unpadded) rucksack. Their touring maps of the UK are really good too. Just the right size/resolution and mine still look like new after about 30K miles use.

Hmmm alarm disk lock and intercom looks tempting!!!

Bike will be parked outside my office, so it doesn't need to stop them, just make me aware some buggers trying to nick it...

Intercom would be handy for when i go out with the missis!!!!

When I bought a tank bag it was just a £5

I also bought a 'kidney belt' thinking it was a sort of storage pouch thingy like I use on my mountain bike, only to discover it was just a belt covering the kidneys

Good stuff for the price though

Cheap intercom's are great. They only work up to about 40mph, so you can only get your ears bitten as you pass through towns and villages, and even then if you want her to shut up you just break the speed limit :D

great idea. I've always wanted a set for when me and Im Indoors go on long journeys, mainly because he's too far ahead and he can't bloody take any sort of signalling cause his zorts are toooooooo loud.
Last time we went up to Hull I started getting the damn flashy low fuel light on the M62. Its very hard to get someones attention in the dark, even after overtaking and giving silly hand signals

Sounds good, I might get some. 2 things-
1. Any experience of them in an off? How did they perform? If not, do they at least look/feel strong? - The closest they have come is a 10mph spill when a person walked out from between 2 cars, didn't notice anything then. Though they feel sturdy enough, not a huge amount of armour though. Just padding and think material, the new ones may be different though.

2. How thick/insulated are they? Can you still feel heated grips through them? - They are thick enough to make my hand sweaty, and I easy notice my hot grips with them on.

I did hear once that the B-square stuff they get is the same supplier that Hein Gericke use, but I'm not 100% on that.

Looking at them i would say that is posability, looking at them they have the TUV quality mark on them, indicating they are either made or come from Germany. Hy HJC has the TUV on it as well, so if they are meeting the same standards they cant be that bad. probably better than all these cheap chinese makes.

I got the trousers last year, well worth the money. I've taken the lining out and use them as overtrousers for commuting..

I receive emails from Aldi advising about their special sales. I've yet to visit one of their stores and see any items left!

Are Lidl any better?

as I remember Aldi is German (my gran is german) and she always used to say you'd only get quality stuff from them, no cheap muck(only in price)
Isn't Lidl scandenavian? or is it french? either way, can't see quality being all that bad

kwak zzr

Ralph said they were only good for up to 40MPH, they must be better than that, mind you at that price, its worth a go,
I really would like to hear my other half in my ear, i'm not telepathic....and I can't afford a spensive setup..

Those tank bags are superb. Well worth the money and a bit sturdier than the Lidl ones.:thumleft:

Oh- and those socks are nice too - need to see how the Lidl ones compare before I get another couple of pairs.

The ACU mark doesnt mean anything as far as the roads or legality are concerned. We were told on our CBT what to look for and they said the ACU mark dont mean ****.
