View Full Version : Hello All - newbie here
Hello all,
Just thought I would say hi. I am the proud owner of a new (to me) V reg sv650.
Quick intro: I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, but I am a Yorkshire man born and bred!
My first big bike was an Kwak ER-5, then a cbr600fy, then a cbr900rr-s, and after killing it at Croft last October, I have got an sv650!
The reason for getting the sv was that I wanted a v-twin, and there was a guy on an sv650s, who was up my backside constantly...so I thought it was about time I shoudl learn to ride! :p
So, thats me!

Chees Tim - you got an honourable mention in my original post!
I've not got any Croft dates booked, but I've got Cadwell booked for April 14th! Always wanted to do Cadwell!
I went back to Croft in October, and was feeling a little confident on the blade. I was heading down the back straight, and took that right hander, at shall we say, WAY TOO FAST!
Lost the front end basically. And that was the end of the blade. But I was only Pirelli Diablo's - not a track tyre, so we'll put it down to that! ;)

I wasn't literally up your backside ;)
Cadwell is good fun on the SV, got my eye on that date depending on weather and work....
Welcome to the forum. Ignore the rabble, I'm mostly harmless.
By the way, is that a hump on your back? If not, do you want one?
