I am after some new rubber for my 2004 SV650s and have always used the azaro st . I have no complaints but am willing to try something new . I use the bike to commute more than for fun these days so a longer wearing tyre would be best with decent wet weather grip . Can anyone also recommend a place to purchase the tyre cheaply .Any website suggestions or even site sponsor deal will be gratefully accepted . I've always just bought and fitted it at the local National tyre service . I am after 2 rears and a front . Stocking up you see , while I can .
I am also wanting the same recommendations with regards to replacing my chain and sprockets . Again I am after 2 sets and any help will be , well helpfull !
Because I am buying a reasonably large amount in one go I was hoping to get them all form the same place and maybe get some sort of discount on bulk buying so to speak . At least be able to get the postage combined .
I eagerly await your help guys .
All the best

Although i've never ridden a bike with them on, for wet/cold weather grip and long tyre life the Z6 would fit the bill. Usually ?30 cheaper than the dual compound sports touring rubber as well.

Well the Avon's are the best in my opinion, they suit my riding style and are my first choice every time! However, I always say that it is best to fit a different set of tyres at each change so you can experience the difference between brands and find a tyre that suits you.
As you like the Avon's I would recommend the following two other brands;
- Bridgestone 020's or their successor the 021's
- Michelin's Pilot Road 2CT
There are more out there but I personally rate the above, and I am sure you are aware to avoid the Dunlop D220's!!!
EDIT: Thanks Tim for spotting my retardness!

I think the 021 is the successor to the 020, not predecessor.

If you like Avon, how about the Storm- it replaced the old Azaro. It's a completely different tyre, mind, but it gets great reviews.

I have now managed to get 2 gold DID xring chains with sprockets and 2 extra rear sprockets that are anodidised blue . That 6 sprockets and 2 chains for only ?211 . I was happy enough with that . I have looked around and found busters seem to offer a good deal on the tyres . The av55 and av56 (avon storm front and rear) are selling as apair deal at 1p shy of ?140 . Again , this seems ok to me .
Any other suggestions ?

Sounds good, I do rate both Avon's and randomly swap between the Azaro and Storm.
