Right, my SV SX is not starting, again!:compcrash:

The 10amp ignition fuse blows everytime after I replace it with a new one.

Checked line and connection and condition seems fine. All other electrics works fine, lights, dials, horn, indy etc.

I'm guessing it is the starter relay (the one with a 30amp main fuse) which is yet to be checked. But can this cause the 10amp ignition fuse to blow? :confused:

Anyone had similar problem before?

You got an alarm on the bike. These can wreak all sorts of havoc when they play up!

It's a curvy so check the known wiring chafing points.

There is wiring behind both riders seat fixing bolts and the bolts are too long so hit the harness. Check for damage to wiring.

Remove the pillion seat and look towards the back on the left (as you sit on it). The wiring bends round a frame bracket and can chafe through.

Also there have been cases of chafing generally up at the headstock region where the wiring flexes as you turn the bars.

I also had this problem and checked the chafing wires as that's the usual cause.

Mine turned out to be the Regulator/Rectifier. Replaced it and I've had no problems since.

I was going to say, the regulator-rectifer may be the problem. new genuine suzuki part is ?100, cheaper, perhaps-not-as-reliable part is ?70.

I read in my haynes manual (i was flicking through y'day) that the effects of a faulty reg/rec are constantly blown bulbs and fuses

Theres a genuine suzuki spares place in harrow road, i think?
