Greetings to all SV650 fans,From Turkiye
I just bought my 2004 Suzuki SV650S as my second bike,as i was using a Hyosung GT250 Naked(2006)...
Searched the net for forums and found that this is the biggest site on the net about our bikes.
First i asked my self what i was doing in UK forums then i thought Biking is universal and every information is international. So decided to sign up.
Let me tell about my self,i am 25(born 1983) , working as a field officer in TAF, riding bikes since i know myself.
We dont have so many SV650 users here in my country cuz people dont like V2 engines here but i mentioned that its a really proved model in UK and in surroundings.
Thats quite enough for a "hello message" i think.Expecting help in every topic.Hi all again, See yaa

Yeah I'm just being pedantic because I'm bored....
V twin engines, like the SV, have 2 cylinders, the conrods both bear on the same crankpin, V2 engines have a different crankpin for each conrod.

We are touring around Europe this summer, but only going as far as Romania and Croatia, not down to Turkey sadly. But as the others say, AR09 (our annual ride-out weekend) at your house!

Nothing to consider.Turkey is the heart of agriculture. Its not the only good and cheap beer in Turkey dont mention that Turkey has a %98 percent muslim population. We like to drink and have fun.
And ASM-Frover have ever tried Raki? (The Lion Milk(!)) and also ever heard of koumiss(real mare milk)...
By the way i need to ask some questions
Which is the best RPM on the long way for optiumum consumption?
And how can we set the digital clock on the screen.I have 2004 SV650 S ?
Tiger 55
18-03-08, 01:23 PM
I don't think anyone on here speaks a word of Turkish...
Tesekk?r ederim. That's two words!
Don't know about fuel consumption mate, petrol here is so cheap nodody really pays any atention...
As for adjusting the clock, press and hold SEL and ADJ until the time flashes, then ADJ to set the hour, SEL when it's right, ADJ to set the minutes and SEL to finish.
SV Talk, Tuning and Tweaking (http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=111) is the place for more complicated questions answered by more knowledgeable people. :)

Yes i had it in a cafe after my authentic Turkish kebab. It tasted like Pastis to me, which as a Frenchman i've drunk a lot of. :D
I didn't try koumiss though.

Fuel consumption: I find on my sv, that around 5-6000 rpm offers the best economy when travelling along a given road for a long amount of time. In the UK, this is where the engine is revving when going down the motorway at 70-80 mph
Economy is best when your throttle openings are as minimal as possible and you are always in the correct gear :D
Matt
Mehmet, how hot is it in Turkey at the moment?

Reminds me I havent been in touch with my Turkish friend for a while, he was going to take me to the mountain with the heads of the kings on it onetime but we never got around to it. He is a doctor down near the place on the coast with the blue lagoon. I expect you know him what with Turkey being such a small country and all ;)
Happy days, not seen him in years.

It doesnt, we are using our peculiar English sense of humour. For example, if I go to the USA, without doubt someone will say 'So you know Joe Bloggs from Edinburgh then?' Erm. no....as we have a 60m population. On the other hand, I might do, stranger things happen.
As we English say, we are pulling your plonker ;) :D
Of course, England is only a tiny country and yet we rule the Scots, Welsh and Irish and nearly most of the rest of the world

I really dont care who u rule or who rules u...My only concern here is my bike and issues about it.
But we are a part of Europe as a whole not only with Thrace.Thats why i made it a deal...

Ok lets go another way. It was a joke and was said tongue in cheek. There is a lot of that on here!
I was meant to go to Ankara a few weeks ago but i looked at the weather and it was ridiculously cold, something crazy like -15!

March is one of the coldest mounts in Central Anatolia that was why it was so much cold...
